Common Problems and Solutions

High Memory Usage Issues

If Process Hacker itself is using too much memory:

  • Close unnecessary processes being monitored
  • Reduce the refresh interval in settings
  • Disable unnecessary columns in the process list
  • Restart Process Hacker periodically

Network Connection Problems

If network monitoring isn't working:

  • Ensure you're running as administrator
  • Check Windows Firewall settings
  • Some network features require Windows 8 or later
  • Restart the network service if needed

Performance Issues

If Process Hacker is slow:

  • Increase refresh interval in Options → Refresh
  • Disable real-time graph updates
  • Filter processes to show fewer items
